“What is the interior made of? (We don't want plastic)”

I don't think that the interior could be made out of metal because it warns not to use metal in a microwave. I couldn't find anything in the manual that says what the interior is made of but it seems sturdy. When I tap the interior it has a metal sound to it but could be some other material.
