Side panel for fans has a built in filter.

If you want to see the filter more closely, JayzTwoCents on youtube just did a full build video with the case and he shows the side filter in detail around 3 mins in. I just switched my build to this case last weekend, super nice case. If you get the black one, the only big negative for me is the DARK tint on the tempered glass.
