no, they connect through the included iCue Link system hub. The hub connects directly to one of the usb ports on your motherboard with included cable although I have found it to work with a standard usb cable as well. Its not type c its the one that came out before that i forget the name exactly... maybe usb-a. Either way fans connect to hub via iCue link cables with said iCue link ports available on either side of the square hub ( which is magnetic so you can place it wherever you have metal in your case) from there you can use iCue link cables to connect up to 20 some iCue devices. They only work with iCue link devices meaning the rgb of the iCue won't talk with any other rgb devices and only very limited software outside of the Govee lights or phillips hue. They have an asus app plugin but it doesn't work ... at least not with my z690 Formula. I can say it works half the time with govee and no idea about hue. Everything iCue costs more but Corsair support ios great and their products are top tier and look/function great. While this doesn't eliminate cable clutter it certainly does make cable managment less of a pain for sure. I have the rx and qx version i upgraded all 10 to qx on my main rig, the time warp is cool as heck so if you can get those instead.
