• Two clips on each end of the hand rest. When seated properly hand rest doesnt go anywhere

• It's a push in plastic connection. Not magnetic, but it also did not feel cheap (as far as plastic connections go, this one is a sort of joint that allows the palm rest to swivel down from the edge of the keyboard if needed)
