Are the side of the mouse smooth or is it a rough texture? I know the top is smooth but the sides look as though they have some texture.. null

It's not a soft silicone like the top, but it is still smooth on the side. Its a harder casing on the side, so slightly rougher than the silicone.

The top is indeed smooth, while the sides are only marginally rougher. Its not so different as to be uncomfortable but it is noticeable. Personally, I wouldnt have noticed until someone pointed it out.

The side have a little texture . Like very light grade sand paper. The top is completely smooth.

The sides are textured. I feel like it gives you a better grip in your hand. So far no discoloration no hand oil has been suck on mine.

Yes, the top is shiny smooth plastic. The sides are still plastic, have a slight texture.

The has a very minimal texture to it. It’s not rough but not as smooth as the top. Similar to smooth fiberglass or carbon fiber is as close as I can think of. It has a dry feeling. Enough to keep a good grip and be comfortable. I don’t notice the difference at all between the two textures while I’m playing. Hope this helps.
