It supports data transfers (It needs data to talk to the iQue RGB system). However, it only moves data at USB 2.0 speeds :/ a long term external hard drive with large files might not be a good use case for this port. This is strange, considering the port on back is USB C, which implies USB 3.0 or greater. But the in box cable is USB-C (mat) to USB-A (computer).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The hub does transfer data but it only transfers at USB 2.0 speeds. So you can access files on your external drive but it will be slower than if you plug it into a USB 3.0 or higher spec port directly on your device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes, the ports carry data, but you probably want to plug it into a dedicated USB port for the maximum bandwidth
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Designed to charge devices or for a headset/mic/keyboard dongle . its lacking transfer speed
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It’s standard usb pass through so you can connect a drive to it. I’m not confident on the usb spec used though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Its a standard USB 2.0 port, there is 2 of them on this mat.
