Hi DIYinstaller, It would depend on your motherboard and how the slots are laid out to utilize dual channel memory. You would want to consult your manual or motherboard manufacturer to determine the proper slots to use. -Brian
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should always look at your motherboard manual, but usually you install them in the second and fourth slot
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your motherboard manual will say which slots to use for 1,2, or 4 slot configurations. It varies from manufacture to manufacture so it’s not possible to give the slots without knowing the board. It’s also not advised to mix memory, especially with different CAS latency so I’d recommend taking out the original stick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Install in memory slot #1 and #3. On the website for your motherboard, you can download a manual that will tell you what slots to use. But mine said #1 and #3.
