I'll tell you from experience that I just witnessed with these memory sticks, my system couldn't do the full mhz that these can deliver, but I bought them anyway, they are backwards compatible. They will only run up to the speed that the motherboard will allow it to go. If your system uses DDR4 memory, chances are that these will work. It was worth a shot for me and it worked out in my favor too. I did have to turn off the Intel optane memory to be able to use these new memory sticks.
