• It needs put together. The tool comes with it. Easy to put together very comfortable.

• You do have to put it together yourself. It comes with set up instructions. May have been missing a small Allen wrench to help assemble chair. Not sure if it was supposed to be included with chair pieces or not. It is extremely comfy.
