“Do you have the use this dryer in combination with your printer? The instructions tell you to feed the filament through the top and also connect a PTE tube as if you want to feed it directly to the printer as its drying. I want to just dry my filament.”

no you dont but it is helful to user during prints as it ensures optimal filament performance.
