• According to me, it’s different matter. The new SsD is only transfer and/ or download files faster.

• Hello Wilson, Thank you for your question, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro Retina models use a proprietary SSD form factor which has a unique connector specifically designed by Apple. As such, I’m afraid we don’t manufacture or supply a suitable replacement SSD for these systems. You may still be able to upgrade through Apple directly and it may be worth contacting them for more information. Regards, Crucial
