Hello, Thank you for reaching to us, Crucial T700 M.2 Nvme SSD are internal SSD. We recommend to install internally on the motherboard slot. If you want to install it externally via USB external adaptor, you can install it externally but we do not guaranty of compatibility via external connection, also you might get less performance.
