are the tongs wide enough to pick up steaks, ribs etc? null

I mean.. depends on how big we're talking but I think yes. The ends have prongs which help with grip, and the metal parts are long enough that you can slide them under larger objects to pick them up lengthwise.

it depends on how big and heavy your steak piece is. I beilive it works for a regualr steak.
