“I just unpacked my Coffee Center and read the safety literature. I do not have a place in my kitchen for a coffee brewer that doesn't sit underneath my cabinets. Surely I am not the only person with this issue. Any thoughts on my predicament?”

The safety literature cautionary statement is intended to protect your overhead cabinets from steam damage. I have the same issue. To address this I have placed the unit on an absorbent pad so I can slide the unit forward such that the brewing portion is not directly under the cabinet. Then the steam produced during brewing does not contact the cabinet. The absorbent pad also catches the splatter that occurs when making single serve cups. Being able to slide the unit forward also aids in filling the water reservoirs.
