It’s typical that the manufacturer didn’t think this through and offer the consumer the option to turn off the highly annoying beeping.

Not for everyone, but I followed the steps in this YouTube video and now my kettle (Cuisinart Perfect temp Cordless Programmable Kettle, Model CPK-20) is works perfectly and is beepless!  Hooray!!

The SS-15 is discontinued. We just got one because it was the only one available, and our last one died. It was a good 8 year machine used 365 days a year. Unfortunately, we hurried and didn't look for a TONE button, which this model does not have.
