• If your phone runs on 120v it should do the trick, depending on the rest of your fiber equipment also has battery backups.

• It shouldn’t have anything to do with the signal source. As long as the base is plugged into the backup you should have phone service for a while. Not sure if the sub-bases would also have to be backed up.
