I would not recommend this as a "battery" to use to charge other devices. It does store power but it is both kind of heavy and has a built in alarm that sounds when it is turned on and the power is being drained. The main application for this device is to plug in critical electronic devices or equipment that you would want to stay running in the event you lose electricity.
