“I got two ASUS monitors and discovered the there is only one HDMI port on 2B. I tried to plug the second monitor into the HDMI on 2A and it didn’t work. Is there a way to make the 2A HDMI work for my second monitor? And if so, is that safe for the PC?”

If you are aleady using the HDMI port on the video card, you with either need an adapter or cable from HDMI to DVI-D/I or a HDMI to DisplayPort.
