“Why does it say on the back not to connect monitor here, but to connect on the bottom hdmi? If I want to plug in a second monitor, can I use the top hdmi that it says “not to use?” Or am I better off using a monitor splitter and just using the bottom port”

you should not use the direct to motherboard, the GPU should have HDMI and Display port connections and you should only use those connections
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Top plug is for iGPU but a ryzen doesn’t have iGPU. Plug all monitors into the RTX card. MOBO display ports aren’t connected to any graphics processor. They won’t work.
