“i want to get another stick of RAM. but i just want some tips on installing it without hurting anything in the computer, like how do i get rid of static? is it ok to touch the surface of the RAM stick? etc. thx”

Thanks for reaching out blob. The RAM varies on what your motherboard supports as some may only support up to DDR3. However, you should be able to just push the RAM into the DIMM slots available on the motherboard.
