If the monitor has an HDMI input, then you're going to want to buy an HDMI cord, but the PC itself has to have an HDMI input as well. The PC has a VGA input and an HDMI input, etc. Now, the monitor must have a VGA input, or an HDMI input as well. After seeing if the monitor you would like to buy has a HDMI or VGA input, all you would need to buy is either a VGA cable or an HDMI cable. Once you got that, then you are able to connect the PC to the monitor.
