“Can I take out the 8gb RAM stick that is already in and replace it with two 8gb sticks instead? I see two slots for it but I’m not sure if I can insert another one in? Thanks”

Yes you can, there is only one way to put them in. If you are having a hard time its because you insert it backwards.

Yes. The Geek Squad added 16gb, to my system by taking out the original 8 gb, and adding the 2 pack with ,16 gb
