the speaker clicks in, but yes you still need to run from the height posts on the tower to the receiver.

Both, really. They click into the top of the speakers and there is another input on the speaker for the height channel from the receiver.

You need to wire connect the wire at the bottom and the speaker is like a Lego. You simply attach by placing the a90 on the BP Tower.

You have to hook up to your receiver with speaker wire.

For them to work you need to run separate wires not easy as just clicking on. My husband hired a company to hook everything up.
