- Answer I also have a Dell desktop using Windows 10. I'm not familiar with S Mode unless you are referring to safety mode. Mine works fine.

- Answer It comes with the USB cable, and it gets power thru this cable as well as data, There is no power cord necessary. One cable (included) does it all. However, I have a laptop. and did find that it had to connect directly to a USB port on the computer. Didn't run if connected to my D-Link.
