Yes, I use this computer for everything. You don't have to use it for gaming at all. The Graphics card installed will be used for more graphic intense videos or presentations if you so chose to have it work that way. I use this machine for coding, scripting, automating, gaming, movies, video editing and as my Music studio for writing and recording. It an all around great PC. If you're not using it for gaming, you can set the battery power to "Best Power Efficiency" and the battery lasts me up to around 4 to 5 hours while Coding or Watching videos.

In fact, I know someone who specifically bought an entry-level gaming laptop because he wanted the GPU that came with it, for editing photos with Adobe at maximum speed and efficiency.
