“Machine won’t do double shots? Regular shot is fine but when I attempt to use the larger filter to do a double shot, the machine clogs or something and nothing comes out. Am I missing something?”

Could be a clog on double filter. Hold up to light and see you if you can see light. If not use a pin to clean it. Also be sure the coffee you use is an espresso grind.
