“What size is the metal filter? The expresso machine that I just purchased has a very small filter. Does water pass through the metal filter. Is it possible to order a larger metal filter?”

It comes with a one cup and two cup filter. These are for demitasse cups. Curious about getting a four cup filter and holder myself. Must contact the company!
