I connected mine to 18 year old Sony wired speakers, a 10 year old Samsung TV, a 12 year old VHS player, a DirectTV component, and a 5 year old Samsung DVD player. It recognized all the components and has made it easy to jump from one to another.

Wired speakers can be connected using the speaker terminals in the backof the Denon receiver by inserting the wire tips. Connect the sound bar to the center channel. And the HDMI monitor output to the LCD TV.

Yes, you can connect your speakers. No, you cannot connect a soundbar to it. Yes, you can connect it to your TV via the HDMI connections.
