“My CD player is connected to the Media Player inputs on my receiver. My outdoor speakers are connected to Surround inputs. No matter what Sound Mode I select, I get no sound on the outdor speakers. Why?”

• First, the Denon AVR-S540BT is not a Zone 2 receiver. In order to hear sound outside you will have to set the receiver to all channel/5 channel stereo. This will send stereo signals to the surround sound speakers. Be sure to go into the AVR settings and activate the surround sound speakers.
