Yes, the Denon AVR-S570BT can be used in a system with a projector to play back surround sound. Connect speakers and source to the receiver, then run HDMI from the receiver to the projector. Be sure to use an Ultra-High-Speed HDMI cable from the receiver to the projector and try and keep the cable length less than 30 feet. If a longer distance is required, I recommend using an HDMI Balun with cat 6.
