“i have a vizio p series tv. i have an xbox series x connected to the receiver. with hrd 10 enabled on the xbox i don't get a picture when i try to play a game. . it only works with movies and not games. very confused. every thing is connected correctly”

Hello. Sorry to learn of this inconvenience. The first thing to check with your AVR-S970H is the '8K Enhanced' feature has been enabled. If the symptom is still present, upgrading your HDMI cables could well resolve the matter, as it so often does with this type of symptom. Ultra High Speed HDMI cables are required. Because not all Ultra High Speed HDMI cables are made the same, we recommend Audioquest - their HDMI cables have yet to let us down.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes it is enabled, i am using the cable that came with the xbox. the xbox has a picture only when the hdr 10 in the xbox system settings are off. i think the xbox might be incompatible. my firestick works fire with dolby vision.
