I took the plunge and picked this great receiver up. The Audyssey speaker calibration did a fantastic job. Until I get height speakers, is there a setting to use when watching Dolby Atmos to get the virtual height speaker affect? Same question with DTS:X? null

I run 7.2.2.if you hit info it will show you what signal is coming in and out.and what speakers are being used.

Yes this feature can be found in the sound settings of the receiver. Please keep in mind that true Atmos 3D sound can only be accomplishes once the Height speakers are in place.  The Speaker Virtualizer enhances the surround and height speaker
channels to create an enveloping virtual surround effect. You can set this when the sound mode is “Dolby Atmos”, “Dolby Surround” or
sound mode that has “+Dolby Surround” in the sound mode name.
