The Denon AVR-X3800H receiver does provide 9 channels of amplification. One option is to power 7 channels dedicated to the main surround system and use the extra two channels for Zone Two. Max number of wired zones from the 3800H is 2. Suggestions for adding additional zones, 1. Use a speaker selector box from the Zone Two speaker terminals. A speaker selector box safely distributes the receiver's power to the four rooms. Individual volume can be accomplished either by local in-wall volume controls or a speaker selector box with volume control ability. 2. An external multi-channel amplifier can be connected to the Zone Two pre-output section. 3. HEOS, the Denon AVR-X3800H has HEOS. Up to 32 wireless zones can be accomplished with HEOS. Please check out our Denon Home (HEOS speakers) selection.
