“I have a Nikon and wanted to know when I need a new lithium-ion Battery. I have had my camera for about two years . thank you”

• The original lithium-ion battery in my Nikon Coolpix camera lasted for about 5 years. The failure mode though was a bit distressing as it worked fine one day, then the camera suddenly would not open/close, or operated at all the next day. I new battery resolved the problem.
