Not sure if this is a dumb question but I'm having a tough time deciding which model to choose is the zoom drone camera the only model able to zoom in for photos and video and the pro incapable to zoom just for photos and videos. Pro better quality over? null

Yes, the zoom is the only one capable of zooming. The Pro has a better camera with 1 inch sensor but the zoom is the one we pull out most. 3 to 1 we will fly the zoom.

If your not a pro photographer I’d go zoom.. but if you will use all the settings and be editing the pro might be a better choice. Lots of YouTube vids in this

Pro is a little better quality with the 1 inch sensor but they both record in 4k . I have the zoom & love it .

You can look online review mavic zoom vs mavic 2 pro. What I see from reviewers that zoom really good same as pro but zoom can see pic closer without fly close and crash. If you zoom in the pic on pro then you can see more pixel in pic compare to zoom still higher quality when zoom in the pic. 
Pro take better video and pic in dark scene becuz bigger sensor. So if you like to do more dusk/dawn then pro better than zoom. Yeah it was hard choice to decide until I already decide I prefer zoom over pro after I read all reviewers.

The zoom has a 48k High Resolution picture setting in its pano mode settings under normal flight. They are identical chassis different cameras/gimbals

I was in the same spot. I ended up choosing the zoom. I'm a photo bug and take thousands of photos. After hundreds of mavic 2 zoom vs pro reviews i found that the zoom was a better option for me. I love photos and get great quality with the zoom. you can also post edit the photos to make them even better. plus with the money saved i was able to get extra batteries....

Not a dumb question. It's a very tough one . I ended up with the zoom after weeks of back and forth lol. They both have the advantages. The pro can zoom slightly and you can crop in more after your photos are downloaded. You have to answer what is the main reason you want to use the camera for. Quick easy pics and videos with a close up when needed then zoom is for you . If you are picky on your photos and take a lot of pics that 20 mega camera is hard to beat with way more adjustment and better low light . Good luck really your a winner either way with these 2 top notch drones.

The pro only does digital zoom. Zoom loses no image or video quality when zooming. The pro is a better camera because of adjustable aperature and of course the 1 inch sensor

If your want overalls the best I suggest getting the pro 2. I bought the zoom first thinking it was great but ended up buying the pro 2 and by far way better the the zoom. Low light is way better as well which I love. I thought I would miss the zoom feature of the zoom drone but I don’t I really enjoy the pro 2. The pro 2 can zoom in if I’m correct but only at 1080 I suggest looking it up cause I might be wrong I haven’t tried it myself to be honest but I think it’s more of a digital zoom unlike the zoom has a lossless zoom lens which is true zoom not digital, if you really care about the zoom feature go for the zoom 2 as it’s still a really good drone. I never really used the zoom so I ended up getting the pro 2 for the better image quality, video quality, and low light image and video quality. If you want the best of the best get the pro 2.
