Yes, there are three flying modes on your control, sport mode, has no avoidance, priority and tripod mode have object avoidance mode on them both. They also effect the battery usage when taking off. So plan for every one of your flights.

Yes the Mavic 2 Zoom has obstacle avoidance, and it works really well. You will need to pay attention to the mode that you are in. The side sensors don't work in every mode.
