  • QuestionHow many miles on 1 charge

    Asked by J.

    • Answer Not measured in miles. Rather, minutes. Rated for about 42. But, that’s in optimal conditions. Ambient temperature, speed, camera usage, maneuvers, etc, etc all effect flying time.

  • QuestionDo I need a FAA permit to fly this drone? I live within 5 miles of Harry Reid Airport. Please advise. I JUST want to use it to inspect my solar panels on the roof occasionally.

    Asked by PatrickT.

    • Answer No, you do not need to have a license to use this drone for recreational purposes. It is below 55 lbs in weight so it still falls within the recreational drone category. You do however need to complete a short online training course called TRUST that the FAA requires, there is no cost to take this and can be done at home. Being that this drone is over 250g it must be registered with the FAA. To determine if you can fly this drone to inspect you roof, you can download the B4UFLY app to view airspace restrictions. You do not need to be in possession of a drone to determine this.
