Yes I now see the adapter for up to 7.5" wide., placing it above the controller. Thanks for the corrections...

Please try again later.My Galaxy Note9 width is 161.9mm (6.37in), slightly more than the 160mm max listed for controller, I need to remove the Otterbox to barely squeeze it in, it's a tight fit. I don't see how anything any wider will fit sideways, and would not work upright for other reasons like the app only works in landscape mode, the cable won't reach, and would be hard to handle. The contrller is solid and easy to hold with my phone.
