It tells you on the screen if you can fly where you’re at
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are geo zones that may interfere with your idea of "not checking in woth the man". Its important to familiarize yourself with the different classes of airspace. Other than that you can fly wherever whenever.

This drone doesn’t need to be registered if you use the default battery (sub 250 grams), but you do need to take a free online course to get your recreationalist safety certificate. Before flying, each time you need to use an app (like B4UFLY) to make sure you are flying in an area that you are allowed to fly in and is not restricted.

And you must agree to "general location monitoring" to make sure it's not being used "as a weapon." But I think once that's done, it's only talking to Mommy if something goes wrong - just like your computer and with the same limitations: you have to allow it. Oh, and you will need to register with the FAA if you want to do anything besides fly it in your own yard for fun ... so, basically, yeah.

Please follow the regulations of the corresponding country/region and airline. A reference article can be found on DJI guides: https://www.dji.com/flyingtips Best Regards, DJI Support
