If you got it at Best Buy, the return policy it 15 days. If you are by a building or even wires it can interfere with the connections, I learned that. My house has metal siding so I have to fly my drone about 7 feet away from the house. I hope this helps in someway!

I also had to return my first one but the second one is working flawlessly. But if your outside of the return/exchange window you will need to contact DJI directly, which I have heard can be a pain.
