I'm confused by your question, but you can fly the drone without the controller depending on phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This does include the controller, and the controller is needed to fly over 5mph, or enter “sport” mode. However you will still need a compatible smart phone to use. Your phone is the screen which attaches to the controller and has all the interface to interact with the drone and see the live feed from the camera. The controller essentially is just to increase the range, speed and capability of the drone. Without the controller, using just your phone to fly it, you can only go up to 5pmh speed and fly about 200m away. With the controller I’ve hit 31mph, can do crazy maneuvers and I’ve gone as far as a mile away. I hope this helps to clear things up a bit.

Please try again later.Although you don't need your phone to fly the aircraft, you'll need it to activate it for the first time as well as see your flight settings, telemetry, video feed, and much much more. It's highly recommended you use your smart device while flying it.

You definitely want the controller, but you will probably definitely want to also use your phone with the controller to see the live stream while you are flying. Overall great/impressive drone, very capable, packed with a lot of features, especially if you download the DJI Go 4 App—not a “toy” drone.
