Does the base package come with the controller? I haven't seen anything that say it does. null

Only the "fly more" package comes with a controller....but be warned....even with the controller you'll need a compatible mobile device running the app to use the drones features. My smart phone (Moto Z) didn't make their list. I took my spark back and got my money back, after spending way too much time trying to figure out why the dang thing wouldn't work.

No, it does not, it works with your phone directly, but to get the extra range and sport mode you have to buy the controller

No it does not. You have to download the DJI app to your smart phone to fly it. I recommend buying the controller because it is a lot easier to fly and the range and speed are greatly increased with sport mode.

No, it doesn’t have any controller. You need dji app to use spark.(controller comes in bundle package)
