“I’m planning to use the bottoms of these as a wall decoration - kind of like a mirrorish effect. Some other cds I’ve bought have purplish-silver tinted shiny bottoms and it ruins the whole look. I need plain silver shiny bottoms. Do these have that?”

I'm so sorry I couldn't give you the answer you truly need I have never held several of them up on a wall. But I tried it may be the lighting I have but they look great to me.

No - you'll need commercially produced music CD's for your purpose. These use a different material that can be "burned"

As far as I can tell the back of the CD-R is like a mirror not even slightly purple.
