• Yes, this will work fine for any VGA port on any PC. Literally plug and play, if you don't get an image, make sure your monitor is turned on or you may have to restart your computer for it to recognize the connection.

• Yes, any desktop with a VGA output will work fine. I used it to connect a laptop to a video projector.
