No exposed heating coils or anything else to get burned on. Better option would be standup, oil filled, electric radiator type heater. Much easier to control, one tenth the cost and no moving parts to attract the attention of pets.

The Dyson HP04 Pure Hot+Cool™ uses self-regulating ceramic plates that are at the front of the amp to heat air as it leaves the machine.
