Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Dyson purifiers will trap pet dander, but they will not trap pet hair. The purifiers pull air in from the room, where it's purified through the filter at the bottom of the unit, and that purified air is expelled in to the room. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
