A:AnswerHi there, this is Tia from Dyson. Happy to explain! Air conditioning units and the Dyson TP01 Pure Cool Tower purifying fan are two very different products that work in very different ways.
An air conditioner refrigerates the air it supplies, allowing the air in the room to be made cooler than the ambient temperature outside. The Dyson Air Multiplier™ fan cools a person by moving air over and around them. It's the air flow that from our blade-less fan that provides personal cooling effects. With that being said, you will not want to expect the ambient air in a room to drop in cooler temperatures when only using a fan.
Thanks for your support of Dyson technology!

A:AnswerHi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Dyson Pure Cool features a HEPA filter to remove 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, dust, mold spores, bacteria and pet dander. The second layer in the filter contains activated carbon to capture household odors and volatile organic compounds like paint fumes. The machine also features a sleep timer, oscillation and 10 air speed settings.
Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air.

A:AnswerHello Allison, this is Kelly with Dyson. Dyson purifiers do not use ionization. An ionizer releases charged chemicals into the air, which bond with particulates and assist in removing those particles. However, this generates Ozone in the home. Dyson Purifiers do not use Ionization to purify the air and do not generate ozone.
