“Is it harmful in any way to have this around electronics? Also I was interested in picking one of this up but why are these so expensive? How much are the replacement filters? Thank you in advanced.”

I have mine right next to my TV and Sonos sound equipment and it doesn't cause any problems. The filters are pretty expensive (check on Amazon). I think about $30 each put I buy the 2 pack so am good for the year.

We do suggest, however, to make sure that you do plug your Dyson directly into a wall outlet, bypassing any type of surge protector, for best performance. The replacement filters are $69.99 and designed to last approximately 4400 hours. If you were to use your purifier 12 hours every single day, a filter would last you about one year.
