“How do you get the fan to run constantly. I've tried the 9hrs then holding it down till it blinks and goes back to the set fan speed, but it still turns off. I'd like it to run consistently until I turn it off.”

You must be using the timer instead of just the power. Maybe you are accidentally hitting the timer which has the +/- toggles instead of the left side with the big circle small circle. Just make sure the timer is off and you should be good to go. I have not had this problem with my unit.
