That is what we do. No problem. Even has a magnetic top to hold the remote.

Yep. Not a problem moving it. However if you set up a name to control it via a smart hub (like Alexa) it will still respond to the original name. If you change the name in the Dyson app be sure to give it the identical name for your smart home app.
